This is what it says: An IPSC shooter's library (mine, in fact). It's not the library, nor a canonical list, but we've enjoyed (and learned a lot from) all and each one of these books and magazines. Should you think there's a missing book or magazine (taken the handloading stuff) , please let us know.

Esto es exactamente lo que dice ser: La librería de un tirador de IPSC (la mía, de hecho). No pretende ser una lista canónica, pero hemos pasado ratos excelentes (y hemos aprendido bastante) de todos y cada uno de estos libros y revistas. Si consideras que aquí falta algún libro o revista (salvo los manuales de recarga), háznoslo saber.

This is the first book anyone should read on IPSC; beginning from the invention of powder, it carries you on a step_by_step trip to the tricks of the trade. If there is something more about techniques, I don't know where to find it (well, maybe in a later edition...).

Este es el primer libro que debe leerse un tirador de IPSC; empezando por los fenicios, nos lleva paso a paso hasta los últimos trucos del negocio. Si hay algo más que aprender acerca de las técnicas, no sé dónde encontrarlo (salvo en alguna edición posterior...).

You won't find a lot of techniques here, but a load of zen-like nonsense - the first time you read it. The next hundred times you re-read it (and you can bet you will), you'll find why this is one of the best books written on IPSC (and on shooting, and on sports, and on...). Seriously, a must.

Aquí no encontrarás un montón de técnicas, sino un puñado de tonterías casi acerca del zen - la primera vez que lo leas. Las siguientes cien veces que lo leas (y puedes apostar a que lo harás), descubrirás por qué éste es uno de los mejores libros que se han escrito acerca del IPSC (y del tiro, y del deporte en general, y de...). En serio, es imprescindible.

Another must-read on personal development. It's not a how-to-shoot guide, but a how-to-learn-to-shoot one.

Otro imprescindible acerca del desarrollo personal. No es una gúia de cómo tirar, sino de cómo aprender a tirar.

The Bible of the 1911 models, it covers from the development of the firsts John M. Browning's models to the newest polymer grips. Every custom modification that can be done (ans some that must not be done) to the Government is covered, plus the how, the who, the where, and, most important, the why.

El Vademecum de los modelos 1911, abarca desde los primeros desarrollos de John M. Browning hasta los últimos avances en empuñaduras de polímero. Todas las customizaciones que se le pueden hacer a una Government (y algunas que no se deben hacer) están tratadas, así como el cómo, el quién, el dónde y, sobre todo, el por qué.

One of the worst composed books I've seen, it's nevertheless filled with interesant information about the functioning and basic customizing of the 1911. A little canted (well, more than a little) to the Wilson products (well, I can forgive them looking at their quality), but worth a read

Uno de los libros peor compuestos que he visto nunca, merece la pena a pesar de todo por la interesante información que contiene acerca del funcionamiento y la customización básica de la 1911. Se decanta un poco (bueno, más que un poco) por los productos de Wilson (dada la calidad de los mismos, estoy dispuesto a perdonárselo), pero merece una lectura.

It's not a technical magazine, but I've found data on very rare firearms. However, it should be considered as a bonus, as its editor, the NRA, is kept busy defending the rights of us shooters. Oops, I almost forgot: According to the Australian Government (on their Webpage), "a shooting license is not a right, but a privilege, like a driving license"... So, you can support the NRA... or learn to do the kangaroo hop.

No es una revista técnica, pero en ella se pueden encontrar datos acerca de las armas más raras que se pueda imaginar. Sin embargo, debe considerarse como una gratificación, ya que sus editores, la NRA, están muy ocupados defendiendo los derechos de los tiradores. Huy, casi lo olvido: De acuerdo con las palabras del Gobierno Australiano, "una licencia de tiro no es un derecho, sino un privilegio, como una licencia de conducir"... Así que, o apoyamos a la NRA... o aprendemos a hacer el canguro.

If you only can afford to read one magazine, read this.

Great magazine, and with the added value of the incredible photos by Mr. Ichiro Nagata (maybe the only guy in the gun world who is respected for shooting slow and carefully).

Una revista excelente, y con el atractivo añadido de las increíbles fotografías de Ichiro Nagata (probablemente el único tío en el mundo del tiro al que se respeta por tirar despacio y con cuidado)

La primera de las revistas españolas de armas (y no sólo por ser la más antigua).
